The place of the original safari
From the rocky slopes of Mount Kenya to the vast open plains; Kenya offers a variety of safaris. In the Maasai Mara, the Great Migration crosses the Mara River into Kenya - from July to October - in search of rain-fed grass. The unique Grevy's zebras can be found in the north, and Laikipia is home to endangered populations of rhinos and the elusive wild dogs.
THE MOST IMPORTANT IN KENYA

THE GREAT MIGRATION
There is no country more closely linked to safari history than Kenya. The site of the original safari whose revival in recent years among small, personalized safari tracks has resulted in the best experience in arguably the most densely populated wilderness region on Earth.
With the eye of your imagination you will see East Africa: single acacia trees on the horizon of the setting sun, lonely Maasai herding cattle, elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro, huge herds of wildebeest and zebras, huge populations of big cats. From mid-July to October, migration is usually concentrated in the Mara River area. At other times of the year, the migration will not be as concentrated, but there is still plenty of game in the Masai Mara - we will advise you on the most suitable locations to visit.

To watchwildebeest migrationcrossing the Mara River is truly a "once in a lifetime" experience.
KENYA COAST
The perfect place to end your safari; long white sandy beaches fringed with palm trees and creeks lined with mangroves along the warm, tropical waters of the Indian Ocean.
The historic Lamu Archipelago includes the main island of Lamu and Manda. Further south, the seaside resort of Watamu consists of a small peninsula stretching along a coastline covered with coral outcrops. Diani Beach is probably the best beach in Kenya with sandbars in the lagoon that are exposed at low tide for dugouts or glass-bottomed boat trips. There are many water activities available in Diani, however, the area is quite popular and most of the hotels are mass market establishments. We will advise you on how to create an intimate cottage in this busy resort.

MAASAI MARA
One of the most popular reserves in all of Africa, located in the Great Rift Valley; a fault line of about 5,600 km (3,500 mi). The distinctive open savannahs, phenomenal game-watching, the famous annual wildebeest migration (usually August to October) and of course the romance inspired by movies like Out of Africa make the reserve a huge draw for visitors to East Africa.
Home to the Maasai who have a proud heritage that they cherish to this day. Thanks to their distinctive customs and costumes, they are among the most famous African tribal cultures.

HORSE RIDING
Riding a horse through the bush, you can feel like one of the animals. Walking (or galloping) through the African bush is not only an attraction for advanced riders. There are opportunities - even for those who have never ridden a horse before - to feel the gigantic size of a giraffe by approaching on horseback. It is breathtaking and unique.
For passionate equestrians with at least an intermediate level of experience, several places offer long-distance multi-day rides and offer all kinds of close encounters. The remote concessions on the edge of the parks are ideal for horseback riding as they offer large open spaces and safe game-watching.
LOCAL CULTURE: CULT MAASAI AND SAMBURU
Kenya is home to the Maasai, who have a proud heritage that they still maintain today. Thanks to their distinctive customs and costumes, they are among the most famous African tribal cultures. For more active travelers, we recommend climbing the mountain called "Ol Donyo Wuas" with Kane, the legend of his generation. You will get lost in Maasai tradition as you tell stories about warriors and the conservation movement.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN NAIROBI?
the capital of the country; a bustling city and the main gateway to East Africa. Many flights to Nairobi arrive in the evening, so chances are your Kenyan safari will start here. Please note that traffic can be very heavy - of course we will advise you on how to avoid delays during your journey.
With a large accommodation base and attractions, including the Nairobi National Park - the only park in the world surrounded on all sides by a vast city. The Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center provide unique day trips or visits to the Karen Blixen Museum (famous for "Out of Africa").
